High Density Housing / Commercial - Addition / Alteration - Exterior alterations to install 1 security gate on Cordova street and 1 security gate on Main Street at this existing Municipally designated heritage building on this site. ******THIS PERMIT HAS BEEN REVIEWED & ISSUED UNDER THE REQUIREMENTS OF VBBL 2025 AND AMENDMENT EFFECTIVE November 5, 2025 ******** Building Review Branch Note: -\tExterior work only, no upgrade required -\tSchedule B – Architectural submitted. - Electrical permit required for exit signage removal. -\tProvide a permanent signage letters height no less than 50mm high “This is not an Exit” at a prominent location inside the building and clearly indicate direction to exit. -\tThe fire department lockbox shall be installed at the approved location and maintained in accordance with VFRS requirements & all keys contained within the fire department lockbox shall be permanently and clearly labelled to identify the corresponding gate(s) or door(s) they operate. -\tThe key(s) contained within the fire department lockbox shall provide fire crews with access through all security gates and doors identified on the approved drawings. -\tAny alteration to the security gate configuration, locking hardware, lockbox location, keying arrangement, or firefighter access sequence that may affect firefighter access shall be submitted to Vancouver Fire Rescue Services for further review to confirm that firefighter access continues to be maintained in accordance with the approved design.
